Renovation of an Apartment in Central Milan

Although the apartment was of high quality, it presented several evident issues that became the starting point for the project. The spaces, in fact, were very cramped and inefficient, especially the entrance and the staircase leading to the eighth floor. The living area also appeared fragmented into separate rooms, lacking a true visual connection. Custom-made carpentry was the cornerstone of the design: every element, from wall coverings to integrated furniture, was carefully designed to meet the Client’s specific needs. The color palette, composed of neutral and warm tones, creates a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere, enhancing the premium materials used throughout the apartment. These colors highlight the design details and make the space harmonious and relaxing. One of the most significant interventions was the enhancement of the existing staircase, which was widened to improve both its functionality and aesthetic impact. Clad in white marble, the staircase becomes a sculptural and luminous element, capturing attention and serving as the architectural heart of the apartment. The interior layout was carefully planned to maximize the magnificent panoramic view of the city. Large windows and strategically placed furnishings direct the gaze outward, allowing natural light to enter and creating a continuous dialogue between interior and exterior. The final result is an apartment that embodies the perfect balance between beauty and functionality, reflecting the refined lifestyle of the Client and creating a space that is both practical and aesthetically inspiring.
