Paloma Architects, on behalf of @Legance, had the opportunity to collaborate with architect Francesco Bonetti and the construction company Mandonico S.r.l. on the renovation of the building located at Via Clerici 7.
The property, notable for its distinctive charm, had previously undergone a significant renovation by architect Caccia Dominioni when it was still designated for residential use. Today, the transformation—carried out with the utmost respect for the building’s original features—has repurposed it as an extension of Legance’s offices at Via Broletto 20.
The project involved the creation of enclosed offices and break areas for professionals and staff on every floor, as well as the construction of two ground-floor connections to the Via Broletto 20 premises. One of these connections made it possible to double the surface area of the cafeteria, which can now accommodate up to 50 seats.
To comply with fire safety regulations, a second internal staircase was required to ensure appropriate escape routes. This involved partially demolishing the existing floor slabs across four levels, thereby creating a large open volume within which a modern iron staircase was installed—also visible from the window overlooking the secondary courtyard.
